Symbols & Storytelling Art Workshop

Guided art classes for adults in a relaxed, welcoming studio environment. Join our weekly Art Class Logan sessions and explore creative techniques step by step, no experience needed. This session focuses on creating your own symbolic artwork and visual storytelling pieces, inspired by illustration, personal narrative, and symbolic design. This is a creative and reflective workshop centred on meaning-making, not belief systems.
Throughout art history, symbols have been used to tell stories, express identity, and communicate ideas without words. In this workshop, you’ll explore how to create your own visual language using symbols, imagery, and storytelling. You’ll have the option to create in a way that suits your style and interests.
Choose from:
Painting – expressive colour, abstract or symbolic imagery
Drawing – detailed line work, illustration, or concept sketches
Tarot-style Card Design – create your own symbolic card with imagery and meaning
This is an inclusive and open creative space. You’re encouraged to interpret themes in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful to you—whether that’s emotional, imaginative, symbolic, or purely visual.
In this session, participants will explore:
Creating personal symbols and visual motifs
Developing characters, icons, or abstract ideas
Using composition and layout to tell a story
Designing a finished artwork or small series
This is a thoughtful and expressive Art Class Logan experience, perfect for slowing down, reflecting, and creating something uniquely your own.
Tickets: $35 per session
You can join at any time and attend casually. Basic materials are provided. You’re welcome to bring your own if preferred.
