The Logan West Arts Festival is a vibrant celebration of creativity, culture, community, and artistic expression across the Logan region. Bringing together artists, performers, creatives, local businesses, and community organisations, the festival is designed to showcase the incredible talent emerging from Logan West and surrounding communities.

This family-friendly community arts festival will feature:

  • Local artist exhibitions
  • Live music and performances
  • Creative workshops and demonstrations
  • Artisan market stalls
  • Food vendors and community activations
  • Interactive art experiences
  • Youth and emerging artist showcases
  • Inclusive arts activities for all ages and abilities

The festival aims to create opportunities for connection, creativity, and cultural celebration while supporting local artists and strengthening the creative identity of Logan West.

Artz Academy Online Artz Showcase 2026

As part of the festival, Artz Academy will host the Online Artz Showcase Prize.

Artists are invited to submit up to 3 artworks for consideration. Selected finalists will have 1 artwork professionally exhibited within the official Logan West Arts Festival exhibition showcase.

Entry Information

  • Maximum 3 entries per artist
  • 1 finalist artwork selected for exhibition display
  • Artz Academy Members: Complimentary Entry
  • Non-Members: $20 administration fee per artwork submitted

The showcase is open to emerging, developing, and established artists across a variety of mediums and styles.

Access Artz Gala Awards 2026

More information regarding submission guidelines, exhibition requirements, and finalist announcements will be released soon.

Cost: $45 General Admission

The Access Artz Gala Awards is a sophisticated evening celebrating artistic excellence, community impact, creativity, and cultural contribution across the Logan region.

This stand-up canapé gala event brings together artists, creatives, educators, community leaders, sponsors, and supporters for an inspiring night of recognition, networking, entertainment, and celebration.

Guests will enjoy:

  • Live DJ entertainment and music
  • Award presentations
  • Artist exhibition displays
  • Gourmet canapé-style catering
  • Networking opportunities
  • Creative industry celebration
  • Community recognition awards

The evening will also feature selected finalists and showcased artists from the Logan West Arts Festival and the Artz Academy Online Artz Showcase Prize.

The Access Artz Gala Awards aims to recognise and celebrate the individuals, organisations, and creative initiatives helping shape the future of arts and culture within Logan and surrounding communities.

Artz Academy Online Artz Showcase Prize

Artist Entries

The Artz Academy Online Artz Showcase Prize is open to artists of all ages, abilities, and experience levels across Australia.

Artists are invited to submit original artworks for consideration in the Logan West Arts Festival Exhibition Showcase and the Access Artz Gala Awards.

Participants may submit up to three (3) artworks across a variety of mediums including:

  • Painting
  • Drawing
  • Sculpture
  • Mixed Media
  • Photography
  • Digital Art
  • Textile Art
  • Printmaking
  • Contemporary and Experimental Works

Artwork Size Guidelines

Standard artwork size limit:

  • Maximum 150cm in height or width per artwork

Smaller artwork collections:

  • Artists submitting works smaller than 40cm may apply to submit additional pieces
  • Please contact the event coordinator for approval and display considerations

Larger artworks:

  • Artists wishing to submit oversized works are encouraged to contact the event team prior to entry to discuss handling, transport, and installation requirements

Non-Members

$20 administration fee per artwork submitted

To become eligible for complimentary member entry, simply subscribe to the Artz Academy newsletter or become part of the Access Logan Inc community.

Entry Inclusions

Selected finalists will:

  • Have one (1) artwork professionally exhibited at the Logan West Arts Festival
  • Be featured within the official Online Artz Showcase Gallery
  • Be eligible for award recognition
  • Receive promotional exposure through Artz Academy marketing channels
  • Be considered for featured display opportunities at the Access Artz Gala Awards

Final deadline for artwork submissions.

Selected finalists will be notified and publicly announced online.

25 – 27 August 2026 – Artwork Delivery Period

Finalist artworks must be delivered during this period for exhibition installation.

Selected finalists and featured artists may also be showcased during the Access Artz Gala Awards evening celebration.

Artwork Delivery & Collection

Artists are responsible for:

  • Delivery of artworks
  • Collection of artworks
  • Appropriate packaging and transport arrangements

Artworks must be exhibition-ready upon delivery.

Any artworks not collected within the advised collection period may incur storage fees or be disposed of if storage capacity is unavailable.

Children & Youth Entries

Young artists aged 16 years and under are encouraged to participate.

Parents or guardians must approve all youth entries and are responsible for artwork delivery and collection.

Selected youth artworks may receive:

  • Certificates of Participation
  • Special recognition awards
  • Youth showcase opportunities

Artwork Sales & Exhibition Opportunities

Artists may nominate artworks as:

  • For Sale
  • Exhibition Only
  • Donation for Fundraising Purposes

A standard 30% commission applies to artwork sales facilitated through the exhibition.

Artists choosing to donate artworks for fundraising initiatives acknowledge that proceeds may support community programs delivered through Access Logan Inc and associated creative community initiatives.

Terms & Conditions

All entrants must agree to the official Artz Academy Online Artz Showcase Prize Terms & Conditions, including eligibility requirements, copyright ownership, exhibition participation, promotional permissions, and artwork handling conditions.

1. Promoter

The Artz Academy Online Artz Showcase Prize is organised and managed by Artz Academy.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Entry is open to artists residing within Australia.

2.2 Artists under 18 years of age must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to enter.

2.3 Employees, volunteers, judges, and immediate family members directly associated with the administration of the competition may enter; however, they may be excluded from judging categories where conflicts of interest arise.

3. Entry Requirements

3.1 Artists may submit a maximum of three (3) artworks.

3.2 Only one (1) artwork per artist may be selected as a finalist for exhibition.

3.3 Artworks must be the original work of the entrant.

3.4 Entries must not infringe copyright, trademarks, moral rights, or intellectual property rights of any third party.

3.5 AI-generated artworks must be clearly disclosed at the time of submission.

3.6 Artz Academy reserves the right to reject entries deemed offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, plagiarised, unsafe, or inappropriate for a public community exhibition.

4. Entry Fees

4.1 Current Artz Academy members receive complimentary entry.

4.2 Non-members are required to pay a non-refundable administration fee of $20 AUD per artwork submitted.

4.3 Entry fees are non-transferable and non-refundable except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

5. Artwork Specifications

5.1 Submitted artworks may include:

  • Painting
  • Drawing
  • Mixed media
  • Sculpture
  • Photography
  • Textile art
  • Printmaking
  • Digital art
  • Other approved visual art mediums

5.2 Artwork must be exhibition-ready if selected as a finalist.

5.3 Two-dimensional artworks must be appropriately framed, mounted, or professionally presented with secure hanging attachments where applicable.

5.4 Artz Academy reserves the right to decline installation of artworks that are unsafe, unstable, or unsuitable for display.

6. Judging and Finalist Selection

6.1 Finalists will be selected by a judging panel appointed by Artz Academy.

6.2 Judging decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6.3 Selection criteria may include:

  • Creativity
  • Originality
  • Technical skill
  • Artistic concept
  • Presentation
  • Community relevance

6.4 Artz Academy reserves the right not to award finalists or prizes if entries do not meet exhibition standards.

7. Exhibition Participation

7.1 Finalists agree to allow their selected artwork to be exhibited as part of the Logan West Arts Festival exhibition showcase.

7.2 Artists are responsible for delivering and collecting artworks by the dates specified by Artz Academy.

7.3 Artz Academy is not responsible for freight, transport, packaging, or insurance costs.

7.4 Any artwork not collected within the advised collection period may incur storage fees or be disposed of in accordance with Queensland legislation.

8. Photography and Promotional Use

8.1 By entering, artists grant Artz Academy permission to:

  • Photograph submitted artworks
  • Use images of artworks for promotional, educational, marketing, media, social media, website, and exhibition purposes
  • Use the artist’s name and artist biography in connection with the exhibition

8.2 Copyright of artworks remains with the artist.

8.3 Artz Academy will make reasonable efforts to credit artists whenever artworks are reproduced or displayed.

9. Liability

9.1 While reasonable care will be taken, Artz Academy, Access Logan Inc, volunteers, sponsors, and event partners accept no responsibility for:

  • Loss
  • Theft
  • Damage
  • Destruction of artworks
  • Personal injury
  • Indirect or consequential loss

9.2 Artists are encouraged to arrange their own insurance coverage.

10. Privacy

10.1 Personal information collected during the entry process will be used for:

  • Competition administration
  • Exhibition management
  • Communication regarding the event
  • Marketing and promotional purposes related to Artz Academy events

10.2 Information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

11. Event Changes and Cancellation

11.1 Artz Academy reserves the right to:

  • Amend these Terms & Conditions
  • Change exhibition dates or venue
  • Cancel or postpone the exhibition or competition where required due to circumstances beyond reasonable control

11.2 In the event of cancellation, administration fees may be refunded at the discretion of Artz Academy.

12. Acceptance of Terms

12.1 Submission of an entry constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

12.2 Failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions may result in disqualification from the competition and exhibition.
